Rain delayed the start of the fourth ODI between Sri Lanka and New Zealand after the home side skipper, Mahela Jayawardene, won the toss and elected to bowl first.
The Srilankans made one change to their lineup, resting Tillakaratne Dilshan after the opener sustained a back injury in the previous game. His place was taken by Dinesh Chandimal.
The Kiwi side also tinkered with their lineup, handing a debut to Adam Milne, who replaced Kyle Mills. All-rounder Andrew Ellis also returned to the side in place of Jacob Oram. The weather has been a real nuisance in the series so far, with both completed
matches decided on Duck-worth Lewis method.
