History of The ENM Trophy-5

2011 ENM trophy was held in Uva Wellassa University ground in first time. There were 20 teams participated to the tournament. Most likely the previous ENM trophy, the majority of them believe team TEA will win the trophy, because they had most balanced team and star cricketers in their team. Such like, Rakitha, Ishara, Sirimal, Migara, Achala, Imran Khan, etc...

Other than that ENM, SCT, ANS and IIT were also favorites in ENM trophy 2011, because of their star players, such like Ravindra, Muizze, Hiffly, Isanka, Rasid, Chandanamal, etc...

However the imaginations most favorite team-TEA was out of the tournament in second round and the same time previous year champions-ANS also out of the tournament in second round.

In the first time MRT and IIT entered to Semi finals and IIT was selected to the Finals. They have beaten strong SCT team in the semi finals. ENM won the match against the MRT and entered to the finals.

However IIT captain Buddika Waduge was lucky to lift the 5^th ENM trophy 2011. They have beaten ENM’s in the final match.

The most special thing in this tournament is there were new stars born in to the University. Such like Madugalle, Madhura and Niroshan.

In this tournament, best bowler award won by IIT player Niroshan. The best batsman in the tournament was Madhura (ENM). The most valuable player in the tournament was IIT player Madugalle.

History of The ENM Trophy-4

2010 ENM trophy was held in Badulla Vincent Dias ground. There were 10 teams participated to the tournament and before the tournament most of them believe team TEA will win the trophy, because they are the most balanced cricket team in the tournament. Some of them believe previous champion-ENM will win the trophy, because they had best ENM team in the ENM history. Other than that SCT, CST and IIT had little chance to win the trophy, because of their star players, such like Muizze, Wijeweera, Rasid etc...

However the most favorite team-TEA was out of the tournament in their first match against CST. A special thing is previous year champions out of the tournament in second round. CST beaten ENM’s in second round. CST entered the final in first time and they beaten EAG in semifinals. EAG was unlucky to enter final in consecutively 4^th time. They were out of the tournament in semifinals since 2007. The final match held between CST and ANS. ANS won that final match easily and lift the trophy 3^rd time in ENM history.

When it considers about players who were performing well, ANS captain Uddika Wijesekara became the man of the series and Best batsmen award. Best bowler award won CST player- Hasitha Liyanawaduge.
